SEOmoz and BlitzLocal present at Singapore SEMPO Meetup
Dennis Yu and Gillian Muessig addressed members of a search engine professional group in Singapore as part of their spring conference speaking tour, which also included stops in Hong Kong and Sydney.
Addressing the Singapore chapter of Search Engine Marketing Professionals Organization (SEMPO), Gillian from SEOmoz shared Search Engine Optimization tips based on the latest search ranking factors research. Besides external linking factors being most important in rankings, in the typical “Pac Man” chunk of the pie chart, Ms. Muessig notes how social signals are increasing in power.
The real-time web, as well as the convergence of social, local, and mobile, will significantly shift the landscape. In attendance were about two dozen members of SEMPO in Singapore. Earlier that day, BlitzLocal and SEOmoz hosted an Internet marketing seminar there as well.
